Avocado Ice Cream

Avocados are rich in flavor, nutritious, and incredibly tasty. Is there any surprise that we would love making ice cream with it? This recipe is chock full of flavors and can be fed to kids who do not like Avocado easily.

1 cup avocado puree
500 ml. cream
250 gm. sugar
300 ml. milk
1 drop green food coloring (optional)
Candied orange peel/ginger peel (optional)

Heat the milk with the sugar over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool down completely. Combine the avocado, sugar and milk mixture with the cream and process in a blender till absolutely smooth. While pureeing, you can add the green food coloring to really set in the color. Once the mixture is fully pureed, pour in an ice cream churner and churn till the mixture is mostly set, according to the instruction manual provided. Since this mixture does not contain eggs, it is bound to set quite fast, so keep an eye out for that. You can, at this point of time, add more ingredients, like chopped fruits, or candied orange or ginger peel, to make this more interesting, but keeping everything simple would be a good idea as well. Once the ice cream is set, remove it and pour into a freezer box and freeze till firm. Serve with a generous helping of whipped cream.
